Glen enjoy great success at Derry Scor Finals

The Senior Scor semi finals and finals took place over the weekend in Desertmartin and Swatragh respectively and Glen continue to be highly successful in this competition. Well done to the following who were awarded the title of Derry Champions 2010: Ceili Dancing: Aideen Millar, Aislinn Millar, Mairead Woods, Aileen Convery, JD McLaughlin, Cathal McGuckin, Sean Woods & Paul Woods. Set Dancing: Maureen McWilliams, Aislinn Millar, Mairead Woods, Aileen Convery, JD McLaughlin, Cathal McGuckin, Sean Woods & Paul Woods. Ballad Singing: Alison Bradley, Orlagh Bradley, Aislinn Millar, Carla Bradley & Aileen McKenna and Novelty Act: Kevin Brolly, Bronagh Mulholland, Una Ferguson, Niall Mallon, Conor Molloy & John J McKenna. A lot of work has gone into prepare these acts and they all thoroughly deserved to become County Champions in front of a capacity crowd in Swatragh.These four acts now progress to the Ulster semi finals in Dun Uladh, Killyclougher, Co Tyrone on Saturday 6th March at 7pm. The quiz team of Paddy Molloy, Martin Molloy & Joe McHugh were narrowly defeated in the semi final on Saturday night by the eventual winners Craigbane.
